Birthday Boy Varun Dhawan Gears Up For Sui Dhaaga – Made In India Next With Anushka Sharma

In a few months from now he would be embarking upon the promotional campaign for the Yash Raj Films offering where he has Anushka Sharma for company.

With October stepping into the profit zone as well, hence maintaining back to back ten successes record for Varun Dhawan, the actor is now gearing up for his next release Sui Dhaaga – Made In India. Though he is currently celebrating his 31st birthday on the sets of Karan Johar’s Kalank, in a few months from now he would be embarking upon the promotional campaign for the Yash Raj Films offering where he has Anushka Sharma for company.

“That film too is entirely different from the kind of work that Varun has done right from the days of Student of the Year,” says our source, “He is playing a small town simpleton in the film. Varun has adopted an altogether different body language, mannerisms and facial expressions for the film.”

Though some of his biggest successes have all been hardcore commercial entertainers [Judwaa 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2 etc.], Varun has been making attempts to balance it out with some realistic entertainment as well.

“He first tried that rather early in his career with Badlapur. Then very recently he did October which is doing decent business as well. Now Sui Dhaaga – Made In India is in an experimental zone too, though it should be a far more commercial affair than the aforementioned two films,” a trade insider adds.

Considering the fact that the film is directed by Sharat Katariya of Dum Laga Ke Haisha [Ayushmann Khurranna, Bhumi Pednekar] fame, one can well expect realism to blend with commercial entertainment too in this small town based affair.

“It isn’t just Varun but even Anushka who would be seen in an out and out de-glam role in the film,” our source adds, “Her last release was horror flick Pari where she was seen in an unconventional avatar. As a matter of fact she attempted that in Phillauri as well which was set in an altogether different zone. Now that both are coming together for the film, one waits to see what exactly does the storyline promise.”

It is going to be a five months wait though since the film is a bit far away as it releases all over on 28th September this year.
