Amitabh Bachchan, who recently went through an abdominal surgery at a hospital in Mumbai, says that his stay in the hospital is “going to be a long stay”.
“Some more tests… more unpronounceable medication… and… another visit to the OT… operation theater! Going to be a long stay,” Bachchan wrote on Twitter.com on Thursday, 16 February 2012.
The actor was bowled over by his daughter’s affection. “Shweta’s wedding anniversary today, but she stayed back to be by my side… daughters are the best..,” he tweeted.
But the Bollywood superstar refused to give any more details about is condition saying, “I refrain from giving greater details of my condition… in the West, patient has the right to not disclose – even to family!!”
Bachchan had been admitted in the Mumbai hospital on 11 February 2012 after some abdominal complications and underwent two surgeries. He has been suffering from abdominal ailments since his near fatal intestinal injury while shooting for a fight scene in 1982 movie, Coolie.
