If you missed Grrr starring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kunchacko Boban in theaters, you can now catch it at home. The film is coming to your screens this month. While it didn’t fare well at the box office, there’s a chance it could find success on streaming platforms, much like Jayasurya’s 2015 film ‘Aadu.’ Despite its theatrical flop, ‘Aadu’ gained popularity online, eventually leading to a sequel. So there’s still hope for ‘Grrr’ to make its mark in the OTT space.
Talking about the same, if reports are to be believed, Grrr is set to begin streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from August 20th, 2024. Loosely based on real events, the film is a survival comedy that follows Kunchacko Boban’s character, who, in a drunken state, jumps into a lion enclosure at a zoo. This impulsive act is driven by frustration after being stood up by his girlfriend, with whom he had planned to elope. Desperate to prove his bravery after being called a coward for avoiding a confrontation with her powerful politician father and his henchmen, he takes this extreme step. The situation escalates further when Suraj Venjaramoodu, playing the role of a zoo guard, is forced to enter the enclosure to save Boban’s character.
