The Kissing Booth 2 released recently and created a lot of noise. The Netflix film featuring Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi amongst others received a lot of praises from the audience. In fact, it kept trending for days even after the release. Fans were really curious to know if the show will have a new season. Well now, it’s official!
The most exciting part is that The Kissing Booth 3 has already been filmed. The sequel was shot in South Africa. But what most didn’t know is that King and the makers even filmed the 3rd part.
Yes, you heard that right! The 3rd film has already been shot. It is now slated for a release in 2021. Joey King, who also serves as the producer, made the big announcement herself on Instagram. She even shared a teaser leaving the fans ecstatic.
Joey wrote, “Coming to netlfix in 2021 #TheKissingBooth3. I couldn’t be happier!!!! Should Elle go to Berkeley or Harvard????????”

The film is said to be in the production stage currently. The entire cast including Joey King, Joel Courtney, Jacob Elordi, Taylor Zakhar Perez and Molly Ringwald will be returning for the upcoming instalment.
Meanwhile, The Kissing Booth 2 received mixed reviews from the critics. Many weren’t impressed as they found the film predictable.
Talking about the same, Joey King broke her silence and addressed the critics’ opinions.
“I understand that critics weren’t all over this movie, but that’s the thing it’s not meant for critics to be like, ‘Wow, what a movie!’ It’s meant for people to watch and have a great time,” she said.
The first movie was adapted from a Beth Reekles novel, which was originally self-published on the Wattpad digital platform. It was directed by Vince Marcello, who will also helm the new movie, from a screenplay written by him and Jay Arnold.
