The social media influencer turned actress turned reality TV star was the second wild card contestant in the history of the dance reality show to lift the trophy. While she won a cash prize of 30 lakh, she also won accolades and fans.

Manisha, before rising to fame with Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss OTT 2, once upon a time auditioned for the best dance reality show of its time – Dance India Dance. Manisha Rani auditioned for the fifth season of Zee TV’s show.
When Manisha auditioned for Dance India Dance, it was judged by Punit Pathak, Mudassar Aziz, and Gaiti Siddiqui. The audition happened in 2015, and while Manisha entertained everyone with her story of having a crush on Punit, her dance did not impress anyone. Her diction was made fun of, and she was rejected for the show!

Manisha Rani’s Earnings From Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11
Cut to the year 2024, Manisha entered JDJ as a wildcard contestant, and her performances were killer. She was paid 5 lakh per week as her fee on Jhalak. The actress earned a total of around 40 lakh in 8 weeks for the show. Even more than the winning amount for the show.

JDJ’s Winning Amount
Manisha won JDJ’s eleventh season, and her winning amount was a whopping 30 lakh. In total, she earned 70 lakh from the dance reality show. She was paired with choreographer Ashutosh Pawar on the show. While she gave a tough fight to Adrija Sinha and Shoaib Ibrahim to grab the winner trophy, she consistently performed like a cracker.
Losing Lakh To Earn 1300% Higher Amount!
In 2015, Manisha Rani failed to make her place in Dance India Dance season 5, which was eventually won by Proneeta Swargiary, who got a prize money of 5 lakh. However, while Manisha lost her chance to win this 5 lakh, she ended up earning almost 1300% higher – a whopping 70 lakh from another dance reality show – Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11!

An Interesting Catch
Here’s a very interesting crossing of destinies. While Manisha was judged by Punit Pathak on Dance India Dance Season 5, Punit also participated in four seasons of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as a choreographer. He partnered with Anushka Manchanda (season 4), Shibani Dandekar (season 5), Lauren Gottlieb (season 6), and Mouni Roy (season 7). However, he did not win any of the seasons.
