The Great Indian Kapil Show has been leaving viewers in splits ever since its premiere on March 30, 2024. Kapil Sharma, along with Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, and others, will now entertain us every Saturday. In a new promo, Archana Puran Singh was seen sitting on Navjot Singh Sidhu’s lap, but there’s a twist! Scroll below for all the exciting details.
As most know, Navjot Singh Sidhu was a permanent guest on Comedy Nights With Kapil, which premiered from 2013-2016. He continued his association with The Kapil Sharma Show, but things turned upside down in early 2019. The retired international cricketer was in trouble over his remarks during the Pulwama attack. He was asked to leave the show in between its second season.

Archana Puran Singh replaced Navjot Singh Sidhu as the permanent guest in 2019. The loyal audience of the comedy show was heartbroken. But time and again, Kapil Sharma partially fulfills the wishes of fans by impersonating him. A new promo shows him in the same avatar, and the clips are cracking us up.
Netflix has dropped a teaser for the upcoming episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer will be seen gracing the comedy couch. During a fun sequence, Kapil could be seen in a black and white striped kurta pajama and turban, dressing up as Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Kapil jokes, “Match ke baad mai jyada ruk nahi sakta, salwar meri dheeli hai, mai jyada jhuk nahi sakta.” And that’s not it! In another sequence, Sharma dressed up as Navjot is seen sitting on Archana Puran Singh’s lap.
“Shanivaar dekho bhai dekho, Netflix pe dekhna nahi bhoolna,” he says in the iconic Navjot Singh Sidhu tone. This, indeed, is a very smart way to grab eyeballs and promote The Great Indian Kapil Show.
