We all know Indian Idol and its long list of contestants who did not win their seasons of the singing reality show but are doing very well in life. Right from Rahul Vaidya to Meiyang Chang, Monali Thakur to Neha Kakkar, who ended up even judging the show!

But today, we will talk about a single contestant who was rude, rude, and ‘brute’ as well! So we all have seen that famous audition where Raghu Ram, the famous bald man who ran a show called Roadies, auditioned for the show.

Raghu, in his autobiography, denied that he ever auditioned for Indian Idol seriously, but he confessed that the producers pitted him in a fight with the judges after he was rejected. So, in the video, Raghu comes in front of Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik and Farah Khan and singsAaj Jaane Ki Zid Naa Karo.

In return, the judges tell him he can’t sing, and he tells them they are rude while schooling Anu Malik and telling him, “Aap tameez se bhi baat kar sakte hain.” The world never knew that Raghu was scripted and planted on the show for some spice. Check out his audition video shared by a YouTube channel AvvrilFan.

However, here’s another theory – what if he actually auditioned and got rejected? Guess what he did for Badla, then? He started his own singing reality show! Yes, you read it right. Raghu started a show based on the concept of Gurukul, where he selected 10 contestants who were trained by Neha Bhasin and a famous vocal instructor, Prashant A. Samadhar.

Later, the contestants performed after training, and Raghu, along with the other two mentors, judged their singing. Now, getting rejected from a singing reality show to judge a singing reality show is how you define guts. The show was aired on a channel called Real TV, which was launched and then abruptly pulled off due to a lack of funds.

Raghu then moved to another show called Roadies, which was created by his company. Later, MTV hired him to run the show for them independently, and he joined MTV and ran Roadies for years, giving this country some of the biggest stars.

However, the two most popular stars from the show were the winners of Season 1 and Season 2, who collectively enjoy a net worth of around 100 crore! Winner of Season 1, Rannvijay Singha is one of the biggest reality stars of this country who is idolized by youth. He enjoys a net worth of around 16 – 18 crore. Check out Rannvijay’s audition tape shared by the YouTube channel Fully Faltoo.

The other contestant was none other than Ayushmann Khurrana, who won the second season of Roadies. Check out Ayushmann Khurrana‘s audition tape shared by MTV India’s YouTube channel.

Ayushmann enjoys a net worth of around 82 crore and is probably the most successful contestant coming out of Roadies. Coming back to the singing reality show Raghu Ram created and judged, guess who won that show? It was a singer called Yashraj Kapil who even participated in Indian Idol 5 later.
