Kamal Haasan is finally back with Indian sequel. The film has announced the arrival of Indian 2 after many delays. According to the recent announcement, the film helmed by S Shankar will be released in June 2024. The release date of the film is expected to be June 16.
As Ulaga Nayagan returns as Senapathy, the film will definitely impact the Hindi releases lined up in June, mainly Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion and Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency.

Indian 2 has been in the making for a long, and the film is being helmed by S Shankar. Kamal Haasan‘s last release, Vikram, earned a whopping 400+ crore at the box office worldwide. Meanwhile, his next film, Kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, also shows the signs of becoming a blockbuster.

According to the official synopsis, Indian is the story of a veteran freedom fighter enraged with the rising crime and corruption in society who murders all the wrongdoers one by one using an ancient martial arts technique.

Indian is a Tamil film that was dubbed in Telugu and Hindi. In Hindi, the film was released as Hindustani. The film is streaming on Aha in Telugu, Prime Video in Hindi, and Disney Hostar in Tamil.
Indian has a rating of 8.1 on IMDb. The film won three National Awards, including the Best Actor award for Kamal Haasan. It was also the official Oscar entry for Best Film in the Foreign Language Category; however, it was never nominated.
