Billy Abbott (played by Jason Thompson) has been undergoing a rough patch in his personal and professional life. He discovered his partner, Chelsea Lawson (played by Melissa Claire Egan), cheated on him with her former husband and arch nemesis, Adam Newman (played by Mark Grossman). Billy gets emotional when he discovers the truth and breaks up with her. On the other hand, a dejected Sally Spectra (played by Courtney Hope) also breaks up with Adam after the adultery comes to light.
Ever since, Billy and Sally have been growing closer, leaning on one another for support while they heal from the betrayal. Their friendship blossomed into a more romantic equation after their kisses and eventual hookup. But while the two have been testing their new feelings, the couple might have some obstacles or an obstacle: Phyllis Summers.
Years ago, Billy and Phyllis (played by Michelle Stafford) had a short romantic relationship that ended after she cheated on him with Nick (played by Joshua Morrow). His response clarifies that a love triangle between Billy, Sally, and Phyllis is not just possible but very much on the cards.
While Billy and Phyllis’ history has been delved into, the latter also has a history with Sally. The two women used to share a not-so-friendly equation not so long ago. And while the bygones are now (mostly) bygones, it won’t come as a surprise if this love triangle reignites their past rivalry.
