A few months back, she underwent abdominal surgery, and during that time, the doctors thought it was not cancerous. Kate is married to Prince William, the elder son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. William and Kate married in 2011 and have three children – George, Charlotte, and Louis. For the unversed, King Charles III is also undergoing cancer treatment.

Kate Middleton released the video on the Princess of Wales’ Instagram handle. In the video, Kate is seen wearing jeans and a striped jumper. She said, “This, of course, came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.” The video was reportedly filmed in Windsor on Wednesday. The couple lives in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor.
She continued, “As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment.” She did not reveal the exact procedure she underwent earlier this year in January and referred to it as only a major abdominal surgery.

The Princess of Wales added, “The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.” Back then, the doctors said the condition was non-cancerous, and the Kensington Palace also said the same.

Kate Middleton spent two weeks in the hospital in January during the surgery. She also mentioned, “My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.” Check out the complete video here:

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle also reacted to this news and sent an official statement to NBC. It said, “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
