Taylor Swift fans are buckling up to support Travis Kelce’s team, but Canadian singer/rapper Drake has gone a step ahead, which is expensive, too. On Saturday, we did a story on the Canadian rapper about him surprising one of his fans with $100K, who just beat cancer and completed chemotherapy. Fans were moved by this gesture of Champagne Papi and dropped heaps of praises for him. The singer faced a humiliating situation regarding his NSFW video leak but seems indifferent and is doing just fine.
Drake, on Saturday, took to his Instagram handle to post the news about him investing in Travis Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He revealed on his Insta handle that he put a bet of $1.15 million cryptocurrency on Kelce’s team. He captioned the post, “I can’t bet against the swifties.” Fans were left a bit surprised as in 2022, the Canadian singer threw shade on Taylor Swift, for which he also received a lot of backlash.
The Swifties are not being kind over Drake’s gesture. One fan wrote to the social media platform X, “Not him running back to Taylor after shading her for years… weird.”
Another clarified, “Oh, he wants attention from the swifties, and yk what, I’ll give it to him.”
Followed by, “He wants Swifties’ attention SO BAD.”
And, “he’s acting like he never hated her..”
However, according to Bleacher Report, Drake is not as blessed regarding betting. The report reminds us of the ‘Drake Curse.’ As per the media outlet, he recently bet $700K on former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland, who defeated Dreicus du Plessis. Previously, Drake also bet $500K on Israel Adesanya against Strickland at UFC 293, which again did not go his way.
It is just a few hours of waiting to determine whether Drake’s luck turns around.
For the unversed, in 2022, Drake seemingly threw shade at Taylor Swift by posting a screenshot of Billboard’s Top 100 charts and blocking out her name in the top spot.
