Avengers: Endgame: Theory On Iron Man Fooling Captain America With Metal Shield So Thanos Can Kill Him Will Make You LOL!

Avengers: Endgame released a year ago, but questions and theories regarding the film don’t seem to stop. While some theories do seem sensible, some make us laugh out loud. The latest theory on Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man and Chris Evan’ Captain America has left us in splits.
In Avengers: Endgame, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers meet each other directly after the events that happened in Captain America: Civil War (2016). Captain America and Iron Man fight each other because of Bucky (Sebastian Stan). Bucky is Cap’s long lost best friend but he also killed Stark’s parents, however, he was brainwashed. After the Civil War, Tony and Steve meet each other directly in Endgame.
When Tony Stark changes his mind and decides to help Avengers with time heist, he returns Steve the vibranium shield he took from him in Civil War. Now, a fan on Quora has shared that Iron Man fooled Captain America with a metal shield because he was still mad at him. Vibranium is the strongest metal in the film but yet, Thanos manages to destroy it in Avengers: Endgame.
The fan shared, “New theory: in Endgame, could Tony Stark have given Steve Rogers a metal shield (instead of vibranium) before the final battle since he is still a little mad at him? Could that be why Thanos broke it so easily?”
However, people disagreed with his theory in Iron Man and Captain America in Avengers: Endgame. A fan answered, “Uh, no. Not unless you’re suggesting that Stark was deliberately trying to get Cap murdered. To do that is not a “little mad.” It’s downright homicidal. Consider: Stark already knew how unbelievably powerful Thanos was, given he had already gotten his butt kicked by Thanos. And you’re suggesting, knowing that, that he deliberately gave Cap a defective shield? That would be outright murder on his part. No, the only reasonable conclusion is exactly what it seems – Thanos’ weapon was just made of a harder, more powerful material than vibranium. Moreover, when wielded by a super-powerful being like Thanos- who was probably twice as strong as the Hulk or Thor – the sharp edge of the weapon was able to cut into the shield. Remember, Thanos’ weapon is made of an extra-terrestrial metal. There must be some metals in the universe that are stronger than vibranium. This was simply one of them. Of course, the fact that the Scarlet Witch later manages to break Thanos’ sword-spear is doubly impressive.”
