The fan was Colyn Elliott, who runs an Adele fan account, received a direct message from The Someone Like You star thanking him for his entertaining Twitter timeline. The fan, who couldn’t contain the excitement, shared the screenshot of the DM on Twitter.
Adele messaged “Your twitter account has entertained me all the way through COVID. You look like so much fun! I’m absolutely chuffed you like my music. Keep loving your life, it’s so lovely and infectious to see from every angle.”
To which the fan shared the DM with a caption saying, “IM BAWLING MY EYES OUT.” In another tweet, the fan said, “Adele I hope it was okay I tweeted this I was just so excited I wanted to tell my friends!!!!”
This is not the first time that the 32-year-old singer had responded to a fan. Earlier this month, she had replied to another fan’s message with a playful non-answer to a question about the status of her next album. The Grammy-award singer’s message after she had shared a book recommendation on her Instagram.
Adele on her Instagram encouraged her fans to read Glennon Doyle’s Untamed. To which, a fan asked about her new music. “Adele where’s the album?” commented the fan and the singer replied, “I honestly have no idea.”
Back in June, the Hello singer even got sassier when a fan suspected an album was dropping that day. She said to the fan, ‘Of course it’s not. Corona ain’t over. I’m quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient.’
Adele last released her album named ’25’ in 2015. Thereafter she has been touring the world and headlined Glastonbury Festival.
