Yatra 2 performed low on its first 4 days at the box office and earned an estimated 4.10 crore India net. Starring Mammootty and Jiiva in key roles, the Telugu movie saw a good opening. Directed by Mahi V Raghav, Yatra 2 was released on February 8, a Thursday, to avoid a clash with Ravi Teja’s Eagle, which was released on February 9. The movie is a sequel to the 2019 film Yatra. It also stars Rajiv Kumar Aneja, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Suzanne Bernert in pivotal roles. Yatra 2 is a biopic on the life of the current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, while the previous film was based on the life of his father, ex-CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
Yatra 2 day-wise collections (India)
The release time of the movie felt right as it collided with the election year. However, the same couldn’t translate into numbers. The movie collected 2.05 crore on Day 1 (Thursday). While the opening numbers were impressive, the collections drastically dropped on Day 2 (Friday) with 0.7 crore, followed by a further dip with 0.65 crore on Day 3 (Saturday). On its 4th Day (Sunday), Yatra 2 raked in 0.7 crore, taking its net India total to 4.1 crore.
