In its fifth weekend, HanuMan has now scored a half-century in the Hindi version. The film brought in 1.02 crore more, and that has pushed the overall total to 50.76 crore. This is a good enough reason for the film to celebrate since, first and foremost, the ROI is healthy for those who have invested in it.

Apart from that, the base has now been set well for the film to arrive with much bigger numbers in the sequel. Of course, the expectations were of an even bigger number once the first week brought in 22.92 crore.

Since the superhero film has seen consistent growth on a day-by-day basis, it had seemed that even 75 crore was a possibility. In fact, after the second week brought in 16.67 crores, a lifetime of 50 crore was assured, and there were chances of even the 12th Fail lifetime to be crossed.

However, with collections coming to 6.46 crore in the third week and then 3.68 crore in the fourth week, it turned out to be a close call.

The film is now playing at a reduced count of screens since a chunk of the audience has watched it. The collections on the fifth Friday, in fact, came down to 15 lakh and then doubled on Saturday to 37 lakh, further improving to 50 lakh on Sunday.

There will be some sort of collections for Teja Sajja‘s film that will continue to trickle in for the next 10 days since there is no other major release. However, eventually, the lifetime number will stay in that 54-55 crore zone, which would be quite good.

Note: Box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources. Numbers have not been independently verified by Koimoi.
