It’s been a while since Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 has been released at the box office, and it has done pretty well for itself. The movie is about to touch the 140 crore mark & the question now is, has it entered the profit earning zone yet?
Let’s analyze how and what has been happening with the economics of the film. There have been reports about the film’s budget touching 125 crore mark (including P&A). But, the real question is where? Those who have seen the film know it’s not as rich on production value to make the budget soar so high.
The sets are not an SLB level magnificent, it’s shot in a small town, it literally has no big names apart from Hrithik Roshan, so how’s the 125 crore mark justified? Yes, the movie was delayed for quite a bit and was that the reason for this extra shoot in the expenditure?

Going by the promotional activities and the process of their shooting backed by the names it had, the budget, to all intents and purpose, should have been anywhere around 70 crores. Even if we include Hrithik’s fees in the range of top-most 20 crores, the makers had 50 crores to finish the shoot with the minimal P&A they did.
