Fortunately, the wait is going to be over as Ajay Devgn-led Shaitaan will be arriving in theatres next month. In rare cases, there are films that give a positive vibe right from the beginning, and Shaitaan is one such film. Even though it’s an official remake, the film has intrigued everyone from the very first poster. Yesterday, its trailer was dropped, and within a few minutes, the social media platforms got flooded with praise.
How’s the trailer?
All four important characters, played by Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, R Madhavan, and Janki Bodiwala, were featured in the trailer. After taking a complete look at it, we now know that the film deals with the concept of Vashikaran (gaining control of someone) in black magic. Going by the promo, Madhavan looks like an uninvited guest who refuses to leave Ajay and Jyothika’s house. In the meantime, Madhavan enchants Ajay and Jyothika’s daughter (Janki) by using his evil powers.
So, basically, it’s Ajay and Jyothika’s fight against Madhavan to get their daughter back normally, overcoming the influence of black magic on her.
Shaitaan trailer has that goosebumps factor in it, and it truly sends chills down the spine. So, it could be said that the trailer has done its job and has elevated the buzz in the pre-release phase.

Ajay Devgn has always been in good form when it comes to serious films. In the recent past, we saw how Drishyam 2 exceeded all expectations. Yes, Bholaa was a failure, but even in that film, Ajay received praise. Speaking of R Madhavan, he has spiked excitement among the neutral audiences with his intriguing look and character. Overall, the casting is giving a good vibe about the box office outcome.
While the casting looks on point, the trailer has hit it out of the park, too. In the coming days, if promotions are maintained on good lines, a stage will be set for a solid opening at the Indian box office.

With things looking in favor so far, Shaitaan is aiming to take a good opening in India. As of now, it’s in a comfortable position to clock 8-10 crores net on day 1. If upcoming promotional material turns out to be good, along with well-strategized on-ground marketing, the film might even go much higher than 10 crores.
