This consistency has propelled Premalu‘s domestic total to a commendable 65.75 crore after 42 days.
Adding to its success, the film’s India gross collection, which factors in theatrical taxes, is even higher at 76.75 crore. Premalu’s international run has also been fruitful, bringing in an additional 41 crore, pushing the worldwide gross collection to a remarkable 117.75 crore. This is a significant achievement, especially considering the film’s reported budget of around ₹9 crore. With a return on investment exceeding 200%, Premalu has become a major financial success for director Girish AD and producer Bhavana Studios.
Premalu’s success isn’t limited to Malayalam audiences. It’s worth noting that the Tamil version of Premalu was only released last week, yet it contributed a significant 2.45 crore.
