The Malayalam movie Premalu, which was released in February, has won everyone’s hearts. The movie received great reviews from the critics, and the audience is also in awe of the romantic comedy. Directed by Girish A.D, the film stars Mamitha Baiju, Naslen K Gafoor, Akhila Bhargavan, Sangeeth Prathap, Mathew Thomas and Meenakshi Raveendra. RRR director SS Rajamouli also has some exciting things to say about the movie and the Malayalam film industry.
Recently, there was an event held for Premalu in Hyderabad. Rajamouli’s son, SS Karthikeya, has taken the film’s rights to do the Telugu dubbing. At the event, the Baahubali director also celebrated the film’s success, spoke highly about the Malayalam film industry, and shared that he was jealous of them.
As reported by Pinkvilla, at the event, SS Rajamouli said that he’s not a fan of love stories. People there need action movies. He went to watch Premalu without much interest, and after the first 15 minutes, he was laughing till the end. He requested everyone to watch the movie together in the theatre.

The RRR filmmaker further shared, “It is with jealousy and pain that I admit the Malayalam film industry produces better actors. In this film, too, they did a fantastic job.” The director praised Mamitha Baiju for her performance in Premalu and compared her with Sai Pallavi. Rajamouli added, “I think she has potential, and I see a lot of love for her.”

Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, till March 11, Premalu has made a humongous collection of 100.05 crores. The Girish A.D directorial has become the fifth Malayalam film to enter the 100-crore club.
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli is all set to attend the screening of his 2022 film RRR in Japan on March 18. He will also interact with the audience there. The film stars Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Alia Bhatt in the leading roles.
