If this is something to go by, the Bob Marley biopic has easily beaten Dakota Johnson’s film and has already surpassed the latter’s estimation of the extended opening weekend. Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, the Bob Marley biopic was released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. It generally received mixed reviews from critics and even word-of-mouth has been mixed so far. However, this reception isn’t stopping the film from performing beyond expectations.

Bob Marley biopic’s weekend estimation

As per Variety’s report, Bob Marley: One Love was projected to rake in $30-35 million at the North American box office during the 6-day extended opening weekend (Wednesday to Monday). Surprisingly, the film has performed much better. Deadline reports the biopic has earned $22 million in the first 3 days and in 4 days, the total will go up to $26.2 million.
