Madras Cafe, after performing decently in its opening week, saw a drop on its 2nd Friday at the Domestic Box Office. As per early estimates, the movie collected approx 1.35 crores on Day 8, taking it domestic total to 35.35 crores at the Box Office.
Running in approx 700-750 screens, this John Abraham starrer raked in good moolah majorly from Mumbai, Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Mysore circuit. The multiplexes are still doing a better business than single screens!
Though facing a screen crunch due to Satyagraha, Chennai Express and Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobaara, this Shoojit Sircar directorial will still manage to do a better business in the weekend, given a strong positive word of mouth publicity it is getting since Day 1!
