We’re talking about Madame Web, which stars Dakota Johnson in the leading role alongside Sydney Sweeney, Emma Roberts, and Adam Scott, among others. Madame Web revolves around Cassandra Webb (played by Dakota Johnson), a New York metropolis paramedic who begins to demonstrate signs of clairvoyance. She faces challenges from her unknown past, which eventually demands her to safeguard three women (Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced, and Celeste O’Connor) from a deadly adversary who wants to destroy them.
Madame Web Worldwide Box Office Collection
The superhero film was released on Valentine’s Day. As per Box Office Mojo, Madame Web has made a box office collection of $36.9 million domestically. Another $42 million has been contributed from the overseas markets.
The worldwide box office collection after 16 days currently stands at $79 million.
As per trade analysts, the latest Sony film will wrap up its box office run under the $100 million mark. This is indeed disappointing as a film starring stars like Dakota Johnson, Sydney Sweeney, and Emma Roberts should have ideally been a crowd-puller. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.
Madame Web Budget & Box Office Verdict
The superhero flick is made on a budget of $80 million. It will at least need to collect double its cost to break even. But that’s far from the case. This means that Madame Web has turned out to be a disaster at the box office.
