Join UsIt is amazing to see Life of Pi do some great business at the Box Office, even though it had a huge competition from biggies like Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar and the fact that the film was a non-commercial one. The movie still managed to open well with a domestic box office collection of 3.50 Crores over its Day 1 and paid previews. With Saturday collecting 4.50 Crores nett and 5.60 Crores on Sunday, the 1st weekend total of the movie now stands at 13.60 Crores, which is a good achievement indeed.
These are excellent numbers for a non-masala Bollywood flick and proves once again that good content has its own market in India. Let’s see how well it does over its 1st week.
