Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin hit theatres on July 10. The film marked Akhil’s return to Telugu cinema after three years. A lot was riding on the film, as the actor had not enjoyed a strong box-office run in his decade-long career. However, Lenin turned things around by emerging as a success. Now, the film is on the verge of reaching the 50 crore mark at the domestic box office.

Lenin To Reach 50 Crore

All eyes are on Akhil Akkineni’s film as it inches closer to another box office milestone. In fact, it is expected to touch the 50 crore mark in India very soon. Currently, it has collected a net total of 48. 33 crore after 17 days. The Telugu drama has entered its third week and is expected to end the week with an India collection of over 50 crore. It needs only 1.67 crore to achieve the new milestone.

The makers mounted the film on a budget of 50 crore. Now, its India collection is inching closer to the breakeven mark. At the current pace, it is likely to recover its entire budget by the end of Week 3. However, it is also facing competition from the Telugu release, Chennai Love Story, which is doing wonders at the box office.
