Dishoom is doing well to stay in the vicinity of 4 crore right through the weekdays. These are fair collections for the film which is a popcorn entertainer with ‘cool’ written all over it. On Wednesday too, the film brought in 4 crore*, hence leading to overall collections of 50.5 crore*.

The film is now set to have the sixth best Week One of 2016 so far. Here are the first week collections of other biggies so far:

The Sajid Nadiadwala production may well have topped his own Baaghi if not for the persistent rains right through the weekend. Still, the fact remains that he has three of the top six weeks belonging to him, which is a feat in its own. Ditto for Eros which has two of its films in the Top-6.

Decent collections right through the weekdays should give confidence to the exhibitors that they play Dishoom on a good amount of screens in the second week as well. That would help the Rohit Dhawan film go past the 70 crore mark. Since this is the only film which is practically in the running currently, one waits to see if any competition from Bollywood or Hollywood comes in handy before Rustom and Mohenjo Daro strike on 12th August.

*Estimates. Final numbers awaited
