It wasn’t very long that Aashiqui 2 was struggling to hold its place on to Koimoi’s Top 10 list, fearing position loss after Shootout At Wadala released. For sometime, Balaji’s Shootout At Wadala managed to cross Aashiqui 2 on the list but however the game changed when Aashiqui 2 showed a considerable lesser drop in its box office collections even after three weeks of the film’s release.
The film by the conclusion of its fourth weekend managed to rake up a total earning of 4.25 crores. The film’s total income now stands at 70.25 crores and with that it has beat the lifetime collections of Akshay Kumar starrer Special Chabbis which was at 70 crores.
Aashiqui 2 now acquired the second position of Koimoi Top 10 list. The film is an acclaimed blockbuster now but there is a faint chance that it will venture into Race 2‘s domain and join the 100 crore club. With a good 30 crores more to earn to reach that position, it looks quite impossible to attain. However the film’s team has another new reason to celebrate with this and the venture has surely been this year’s miraculous stint!
