Why did Ranbir Kapoor get beaten up by his principal?

Ranbir Kapoor delivered a box office success with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in 2023. The actor graced The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his film alongside co-star Anubhav Singh Bassi. He got nostalgic as he recalled once sneaking out of his classroom during a boring session to help a friend who dropped his spectacles.

Ranbir Kapoor recalled, “Mai hamesha last bench pe baitha karta tha. I was a naughty kid. Mai class ke bahar sneak kar raha tha, upar dekha toh mera principal khada tha. Humare school me humari bohot pitai hoti thi, aajkal toh aap kisiko gussa bhi nahi kar sakte. Us insaan ne mujhe kaan se pakda aur corridor me jhapad mara, kaan pakda, turn kia aur wapis le aaya.”

After the brutal beating, the principal asked Ranbir Kapoor what he was doing outside the call. And he revealed that he was going out to pick the spectacles of his friend. Poor RK!
