Actor Sanjay Dutt was diagnosed with lung cancer back in August and his first cycle of chemotherapy is successfully over. According to the latest report, the actor will soon begin with the second cycle of the therapy.
The Sadak 2 actor was diagnosed with cancer after he checked into a hospital due to breathlessness. Reports even stated that the actor even contemplated going to the US for treatment. He had also obtained a visa for travelling to the US. However, he later opted for the treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.
Chemotherapy is never easy to take and it is unclear as to how many cycles will be required for the actor. Reportedly, Sanjay Dutt is all set to take the second cycle of chemotherapy by Tuesday or Wednesday, September 8/9. Whether the actor at some point later does fly out is something that’s not on his plate now. However, it cannot be ruled out.
Sanjay Dutt will now appear in films like Shamshera, RRR andPrithviraj. As he is battling with lung cancer, the actor had announced that he is taking a short break from acting. This means that his upcoming films’ release date may be pushed back until the actor is fully recovered.
Earlier, when the Khalnayak actor was diagnosed with lung cancer, wife Maanyata Dutt, shared a heartfelt statement on behalf of the family. She wrote, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support.”
