Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has created a niche for himself that distinguishes him from the other actors. With films and web series like Sacred Games, Gangs Of Wasseypur, British crime-drama McMafia to his credit, the actor has certainly given his contemporaries a good run for their money!
And now, as the actor’s British crime drama TV series, McMafia, won the Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards in New York, he is on cloud nine. Nawaz believes that true success for an actor is when he or she can choose the kind of films that they want to do.
Speaking about the same, Hindustan Times has quoted the actor saying, “International filmmakers and actors are watching good Indian content. We, too, are aware of the good films from Korea or Europe or the US, similarly, they are aware of the good films we make, irrespective of the box office fate of that film. Moreover, I don’t care about box office and if I did, I would have to cater to films that make crores and then need songs and certain emotions to make them work. Such movies are great but ultimately, as an actor, you are known for the choice of roles and films.”
