Kangana Ranaut has been at loggerheads with anyone and everyone in the industry. The actress, however, seems to have taken the high road and is on a patch-up spree. Recently, she surprised all when she made an appearance on Bigg Boss 17 after dissing and taking digs at the show at her reality show Lock Upp.
The actress, who is promoting her film Tejas recently, also appreciated Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Last year, she was gracious enough to praise Deepika Padukone’s Oscar speech, and now she has finally spoken up about her alleged cold wars with the Khans.
Kangana Ranaut, in a recent interview with Times Now Navbharat, said, “I have never said anything unreasonable about the Khans. My main issue was the shorter female roles (in their films) and the age of the actresses who were cast opposite them.” Kangana even claimed that her only issue was professional bias. She had nothing personal against the Khan superstars.
The Tejas actress further revealed how the industry is changing for the good and how stars are now more welcoming of actresses closer to their ages. She asserted, “See, how that is changing now. Actresses over 35-40 are becoming the heroines of Khans. So, I have fought for these changes. Otherwise, we used to see the heroines of Khans play their mothers 8-10 years down the line. So, we have fought for these changes,” the actress added.
For the unversed, a few months back, Kangana shared a clip from Aamir Khan‘s Satyameva Jayate and shared, “Actually mujhe bhi kabhi kabhi woh din yaad aate hain jab Aamir sir was my best friend… jaane kahan gaye woh din.” She further wrote on her Instagram stories, “One thing is for sure that he has mentored me, appreciated me, and shaped a lot of my choices before Hrithik did that legal case on me. Post that, they made their loyalties clear – it was one woman against the entire industry.”
She even shared a note for Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which said, “From being the ultimate lover boy of the nineties to a decade-long struggle again to reinvent his connection with his audience to his late forties to mid-fifties and ultimately rising as the quintessential Indian mass super hero at the age of 60 (almost) Is nothing short of superheroic even in real life. I remember the time when people wrote him off and mocked his choices, but his struggle is a master class for all artists enjoying long careers but must reinvent and reestablish. SRK is the cinema God that cinema needs not just for his hugs or dimples but for some serious world-saving as well. In the latest move to mend her ways, she appeared on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss, and the two had fun banter. Now that the actress might be on the same page with the Khan superstars, we are super excited to see her team up with any one of them, making her much-awaited Khan debut, perhaps!
