While Disha and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in their post supported the #BlackLivesMatter initiative, what triggered netizens according to reactions is their ‘selective activism’. Disha Patani was bashed for promoting a fairness cream ‘that has set wrong standards of beauty’. Meanwhile, Priyanka was called out for being biased. People claim that the actor never talks about the problems in her own country.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared her note on Instagram but in no time it was shared by people on twitter. Sharing a screenshot of the same, a twitter user wrote, “Priyanka Chopra is the truest definition of NRIs saying BLM but not giving a shit about the numerous Kashmiris killed by the Indian forces.”
