Since this morning, Akshay Kumar fans have been playing the game of “Will Laxmmi Bomb release on OTT?” or will it be a theatrical release. There have been multiple rumours regarding the film, let’s tackle them one by one. The first and not-so-major rumour is the film releasing on Khiladi’s birthday, i.e. 9th September.
It was reported that the film would release on 9th September on the occasion of Akshay Kumar’s birthday. Which is not true and by now we all know should know this for two reasons – firstly and importantly, because nothing is being officially reported and secondly, 9th September is two days from now.
Another rumour regarding Laxmmi Bomb is about its release medium – OTT or theatrical? Well, folks down at Hindustan Times have some strong statements from the sourced regarding the same.
It says, “No, Laxmmi Bomb is not being pulled out of the OTT platform. These are absolutely fake stories which have no meaning. Disney Hotstar is absolutely going ahead with its plan to release Laxmmi Bomb.”
The third rumour about the film is its release date. The same source also adds, “Laxmmi Bomb was never meant to release on Akshay’s birthday, which is the day after. So, the OTT platform is definitely going ahead with their plan or releasing the film in November, and the date isn’t decided yet.”
November also means Diwali and the hint of “Entertainment ka bomb phatne wala hai” indeed hints at a festive release for Laxmmi Bomb. If we join the dots, makers are definitely hinting at a Diwali release for the film.
