Earlier it was reported that Kangana Ranaut’s father and sister had requested the Himachal Pradesh government to provide the actress with protection. This update came in shortly after the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Sunday said that the state government is considering providing security to the Bollywood actress for her Mumbai visit on September 9.
In a statement, Thakur mentioned that Kangana’s sister called him to make the request and her father also put forth a formal letter to the Himachal police, requesting security.
“Kangana Ranaut’s father has given in writing, asking for police protection. I also spoke to her sister yesterday. The Director-General of Police has been directed in this regard, and she will be provided security here. We are discussing what can be done to provide security to her outside the state as she is leaving for Mumbai on September 9,” Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said in a statement to ANI.
The actress also found support in Haryana Minister Anil Vij, who, in a statement said, “Kangana Ranaut should be given police protection. She should be allowed to make revelations freely.” The Minister alleged that the actress was being stopped from making revelations on the use of drugs in Bollywood.
He also slammed Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut for allegedly threatening Ranaut about coming to Mumbai after she expressed her fears about the Mumbai police.
Now let’s just wait to see what happens once Kangana Ranaut steps in Mumbai.
