And it’s a trip down memory lane for all of us as our favorite crime TV show, CID, will soon be back with a bang. Yes, you heard that right! The makers have released a small announcement teaser of CID 2, which was enough to cause a massive frenzy among the fans. The makers also announced that the promo of the same will be released tomorrow (October 26).

The teaser gives a glimpse of Shivaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman, looking tense as he exits his car in a location that seems to have fallen prey to a bomb blast. We then see a close-up shot of Aditya Shrivastava’s eyes, who plays Inspector Abhijeet. The OG whistle background music also gives us a truckload of nostalgia in the teaser.

Fans React To CID’s Return

Needless to say, fans were left overjoyed with the show returning. One of the fans said, “OMG, finally, childhood is back.” While another netizen said, “So it’s actually back here, Aditya’s eyes look fire.” Referring to the iconic “Daya Darwaza Todh Do” dialogue, a fan added, “Door-breaking announcement.” Another netizen said, “I’m so seated.” A netizen said, “I so wish that they make it a good detective series with logical cases. Indian TV really needs something different.” A fan said, “I’m so ready. Childhood memories flashback.” Another netizen wrote, “The iconic theme song, Oh I just got chills.” A fan said, “Real television and acting is coming back.” A netizen added, “Oh God, I’m going to cry, my childhood is coming back.”

However, many fans stated that they would miss actor Dinesh Phadnis, who played Freddy on the show and added a much fun comedic relief. His death in December 2023 came as a rude shock to fans and his CID co-stars. Well, we are now super excited to witness the promo of the show tomorrow.
