Oppenheimer Filming Locations and Techniques
The Christopher Nolan directorial was filmed in Los Alamos and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Nolan filmed his 2023 directorial with IMAX 65 mm and 65 mm large-format film cameras. He is the first director to shoot the black-and-white portions on the IMAX camera. Some of the cameras he used are IMAX MKIV, IMAX MSM 9802 cameras, Panavision Sphero 65 and Panavision System 65 lenses.
