After the humongous success of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan movies, the Kollywood audience has been more keen on knowing what Jayam Ravi offers them with his films. The actor, who became a household name in movies like Unakkum Enakkum, Santhosh Subramaniam, and others, treated the audience with his first theatrical release, Siren aka Siren 108. The Tamil action thriller will be released in theatres on February 16, 2024.

The film stars Jayam Ravi as Thilagavarman, Keerthy Suresh as Inspector K Nandhini, Anupama Parameswaran as Jennifer, Samuthirakani as DSP S Nagalingam, Yogi Babu as Velankanni, Azhagam Perumal as Manickathangam and Ajay as Anbazhagan. Antony Bhagyaraj has written and directed the Tamil action thriller.

Selvakumar S. K. worked as the cinematographer, and Ruben edited the film. G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the songs, and Sam C. S provided the film’s background score.
Jayam Ravi’s character, Thilagavarman, aka Thilagan, has to serve 14 years in prison after he’s falsely accused of killing his wife, Jennifer and his friend Kathir. Thilagan was just a simple ambulance driver at a hospital and couldn’t succeed in proving his innocence. He also has a long-lost daughter. One day, after 14 years, Thilagan is released on Parole for 14 days, and all he can think of is avenging the death of his wife and his friend. However, the cops keep an eye on him and suspect him again. Will Thilagan succeed in proving that he’s not the murderer?
The trailer is packed with several emotional and action-packed moments. One can expect to see more such riveting sequences in the movie. After PS 1 and 2, Jayam intends to astound his fans with more solid action drama.

Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the rights for the Tamil action thriller. The film will arrive on the OTT platform on April 11, 2024. Reports also mention that Star Vijay has acquired the film’s satellite rights.
