The effect of Prabhas’ Baahubali films wasn’t confined to Telugu cinema but felt throughout the Indian film industry. Directed by the brilliant SS Rajamouli, this epic historical action drama franchise won praise for its grandeur and also captivated movie-going audiences with its storytelling and performances. A lot of Indian celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Allu Arjun praised both films and acknowledged their enormous contribution to the film industry.
Allu Arjun, the renowned star of Tollywood, was also enthralled by the Baahubali film series. A few years ago, the actor was in awe at Prabhas’ portrayal of both Amarendra and Shivudu and the extreme commitment he showed in bringing the epic story to life. The Pushpa actor has publicly voiced his respect for Prabhas and his unshakable dedication to the role on several occasions, highlighting the crucial influence the Baahubali films had on the audience and other industries overall.
As reported by IB Times, during the success of his film Ala Vaikunthapuramlo in 2020, Allu Arjun praised Prabhas and his commitment. The actor said, “Prabhas is worthy of each and every bit of appreciation he got for Baahubali. He could have scored numerous blockbusters in a span of five years after Mirchi. Of the five years he dedicated for Baahubali, he could have relaxed for three and a half years after working for one and a half years had he done commercial films. His sacrifice and determination is to be commended.”
