Netflix original series The Crown has officially found its’ Princess Diana. The series, that premiered in November 2016 follows the lengthy reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Originally, the series about the British monarchy was slated for just five seasons, but in July, the creator of the Netflix series Peter Morgan changed his mind and would carry on with six seasons.

Each season of Netflix’s The Crown roughly covers a decade of the Queen’s life and the sixth season will cover the 21st century. While the coronavirus pandemic effected production on many fan-favourite shows, the season four about the British monarchy was unaffected. It will reach screens by the end of 2020.

The fourth season of The Crown will introduce Princess Diana, the late first wife of Prince Charles, to the audience. Actress Emma Corrin has played the role now but, The Crown’s official account announced that Elizabeth Debicki will continue Diana’s storyline in season 5.
