Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: “We Undestand, As Mother, Priorities Change But Disha Vakani Is Also An Artiste,” Says Dilip Joshi

Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is the longest running TV show, because why not, it has been entertaining and receiving love from its audience since forever now. However, trouble in the paradise seem to have begun ever since Disha Vakani (Dayaben) left for maternity leave two years back and haven’t returned yet!

Although, producer Asit Modi had earlier revealed that hunt for replacement is on, here’s what her on-screen husband Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) feels about it.

Amidst all the ruckus, Dilip in a recent conversation with Bombay Times has shared that although he understands Disha’s responsibility as a mother, he would still want to see her make a return on the show. “Disha has worked on the character for 10 years, which is not a short period. I understand that when a woman becomes a mother, her priorities change, but at the end of the day, she is also an artiste. An artiste cannot stay away for long from the set, and so, I am praying that Disha will soon want to come back to the show. She has worked hard to establish the character and should not let it go waste,” the actor said.
