Disha Vakani, our favourite actress from the longest running TV show, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has quit the show because of personal reasons and ever since, hunting for the perfect ‘Dayaben’ has been on! Latest reports suggest that Bade Acche Lagte Hain actress Vibhoutee Sharma has been approached for the role and the actress has finally addressed the rumours. Here’s what she has to say.

Since the morning, rumours of Vibhoutee replacing Disha had been doing the rounds and it is also being reported that she has given a mock test for her look and is almost on the verge of being finalized. The actress has however come out in the open and rubbished all the rumours.

In a conversation with Times of India, she revealed, “I don’t know where these rumours are coming from. I am not replacing Disha Vakani in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, neither have I given any mock test. I am not interested in doing TV shows. I have currently taken a break from acting. This is really funny. I keep doing ads and was never interested in doing regular daily soaps.”

While we were excited to see Dayaben finally being back on the show, looks like we’ll have to wait more than expected!

Meanwhile, it is being said that the team currently has something more exciting coming up and hence, no body is willing to diver their focus from it. Taarak Mehta is completing its 11-year-run on July 28th and a big celebration is on the cards!

“The cast and crew are excited as the show will complete 11 years of its run on 28th July. They are planning to celebrate this big day with a grand celebration,” a source close to Tellychakkar had recently revealed.
