Every time, Popatlal’s love interest has been introduced in the show, the marriage speculations gather pace. Be it Kary, Koyal or Bulbul, every character’s introduction in the storyline has intrigued the audience about Popat’s marriage. Even Taarak Mehta’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi had promised that soon, we’ll get to see Popatlal’s wife in the show, but that ‘soon’ has not seen a day of lights.
So, what’s the actual reason that Popatlal isn’t getting married in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah? Well, here’s the reason.
During an interview with Khabar Samay last year, Asit Kumarr Modi had himself revealed the reason behind Popatlal’s unmarried status. He had explained that it’s due to the audience, that the character isn’t getting mingled. He stated that he took viewers response on the much-hyped marriage twist. Some of the fans were happy with Popat being unmarried, while some desired of him tying a knot. So basically, the audience’s response to the question is ‘fifty-fifty, said Modi.
Meanwhile, after a break of about three months, the shoot of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah resumed last month. Speaking on it, Asit Kumarr Modi urged viewers to pray for them amid the pandemic conditions. He said, “As on the 10th of July, 2020 Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has officially resumed its shooting for the show. And very soon we will be amidst you on your TV screens. Please do pray for us, the entire team’s well-being as you have for the past so many years and we too pray for your health and happiness.”
