There are some artists who the TV audience can’t get enough of. Sunil Grover is one such actor-comedian who has ruled people’s hearts for several years. From Gutthi to Doctor Gulati, the Bharat star has played some memorable characters.
Sunil is all set to return on television with a new show, Gangs of Filmistan. He is returning to TV after quite a long break. Everyone is excited to see his funny side again on TV. With a new show, the expectations of the audience are obviously high.
In an interaction with Indian Express, Sunil Grover was asked if it will be tough to do comedy in a controlled environment and protocols. The actor said, “Absolutely, it is very difficult. But rather than worrying about our challenges, we thought it’s important to make people laugh. These are tough times, everyone is tensed and if they can enjoy while watching television, nothing better than that. We want people to be entertained Monday-Friday by our show. It was the only reason I said yes to do the show.”
Sunil Grover was also asked if TRPs affect him or not. His previous TV show Kanpur Waale Khuranas couldn’t gain the ratings that were expected. He said, “It does a bit as when you make a show, you want it to get good ratings. However, low numbers shouldn’t stop you from working. We can figure out the mistakes we did last time and work on it. We can only hope that people connect with the show and enjoy watching it. I cannot develop a vaccine but can make people smile. That’s the only thing I know and I hope that we manage to do so with Gangs of Filmistan.”
Meanwhile, Gangs of Filmistan also stars Shilpa Shinde, Siddharth Sagar, Sanket Bhosale, Sugandha Mishra and others. Are you excited to see him on TV again? Let us know in the comments below.
