Shark Tank India Season 3 is currently grabbing all the eyeballs. After the exit of Ashneer Grover, it looks like the controversy around the business reality show ceases to end. Pitchers who own the sustainable athleisure wear brand Aastey have now slammed Vineeta Singh. Co-founder Jeevika Tyagi has been embroiled in an ugly spat with Sony TV and is slamming the channel left, right, and center. Scroll below for all the details!
During the 23rd episode of Season 3, titled Celebrating Entrepreneurial Breakthroughs, Aastey co-founders Jeevika Tyagi and Kanupriya Mundhra were seen pitching to Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar and the other panelists. But it seems their hard-hitting questions haven’t gone very well with the former.

In a viral promo of the Shark Tank Season 3 episode, Peyush Bansal asked the entrepreneurs what their plans are to make their brand stand out since there are multiple competitors in the market. To this, Jeevika Tyagi responded, “Ab hum yaha aaye hai isko 100 crore brand banane. (We’ve come here to make it a 100 crore brand.)”
Anupam Mittal cracks up and goes on to ask, “Paise kitne hai? (how much money do you have?” The Aastey co-founders respond, “Zero”
A surprised Aman Gupta reacts, “Aap keh rahe ho ki 1.5 lakh ki sale ho rahi hai, paise zero hai. Business kaha hai, hum invest kidhar kar rahe hai? Maal bhi bik nahi raha.” To this, the pitchers respond, “Wahi karne ki koshish kar rahe hai.”

Vineeta Singh said she was baffled to see Aastey’s situation. She blatantly called it a “financial indiscipline.” The Shark Tank panelist calls out the duo for spending all their money on marketing, which clearly isn’t working out.
After the episode went on-air, an offended Jeevika Tyagi wrote on her Instagram handle, “My voice had reached 5 million people with a 100 million impressions through my 3 video edits. It was basic reaction to snippets from my own episode @sharktank.india. Massive PR was done by sharks plus Sony team till it was working in their favour. To put the infringement/copyright clause for my own voice is a new low. Don’t worry I will ensure I don’t use the clip and continue to react. It may not get 4/5 million views but it will be heard. It’s your show, your tank, the judges were dismissive and derogatory comments were made on how I am running my business to say the least. I am in shock!!!!!”
