Ashiesh Roy is a popular face on Indian television with shows like Sasural Simar Ka, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Jeanie Aur Juju, and many more to his credit. Yet, when the actor has fallen ill and has been admitted to ICU, he is forced to ask his fans for financial aid!

The reason you ask? It is owing to the current situation of crisis owing to the pandemic Coronavirus! Taking to his Facebook page, Ashiesh Roy has asked his fans to help him with some funds to undergo dialysis. While this is indeed a sad state for anybody to be in, Roy is not alone.

Citing unpaid dues several TV actors have raised their voices and expressed survival concerns. Meanwhile, Ashiesh Roy’s co-actor from Sasural Simar Ka Jyotsna Chandola and writer-producer Vinta Nanda has offered to come forward and help Roy.

Recently, Aadat Se Majboor actor Manmeet Grewal committed suicide citing lack of work and practically no money for even basic survival. Similarly, the cast of ZEE TV’s Humari Bahu Silk too raised the issue of their dues not being cleared for over a year now!

While the state of the industry is shocking, we hope things become better soon for Ashiesh Roy. For those of you unversed, Ashiesh Roy had been admitted to the ICU early last year as well after he suffered from a paralytic stroke.
