Hina Khan is undoubtedly living the best phase of her life. 2020 has been a fruitful year for her with projects like Naagin 5, Bigg Boss 14 amongst others. She recently even made her debut as a producer alongside boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal in the film, Wishlist.
Wishlist features Hina alongside actor Jitendra Rai. The story revolves around fulfilling ‘forgotten’ dreams with the help of a wishlist. Jitendra’s character is diagnosed with third stage spine tumour and only has 3-4 months in his hand. Several films in the past like Dil Bechara, Five Feet Apart etc have been made in the past.
Koimoi in an exclusive conversation with Hina Khan asked her take on the comparisons with Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Dil Bechara or Five Feet Apart. To this, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress responded, “This is a world of 7 billion people and I don’t think that one film can do justice to such topics. We would need a lot more films based on how to live, get inspired and dream big, and not get into depression which is a matter of concern at the moment.”
Hina Khan continued, “Honestly speaking, films like these need to be told, need to be shown to people who can even get the slightest of hope from them, and not just 1 or 2 or 3, but many films in such categories should be made to build up hope for people who get inspired by watching these kind of movies.
Wishlist premiered on MX Player on 11th December. Asked why Hina Khan, Rocky Jaiswal and the team opted for the digital route, Hina answered, “At the moment all content is being released on OTT platforms and more so due to the current situation we are in, so the best decision we could take is to digitally release our film. The viewership right now on OTT is also very high and all portals that are digital at the moment are doing very well, hence it was definitely a good call to release it online.”
