It was on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti in January when ‘Stylish Star’ Allu Arjun’s Telugu family entertainer Ala Vaikunthapuramloo released in theatres. The film had a great run in theatres and had cash registers ringing, following which it was declared as a super hit. The latest buzz related to the Allu Arjun starrer is, it may soon be getting a Tamil remake with Kollywood star Sivakarthikeyan in lead.
As per a report from Time Of India, Sivakarthikeyan is keen on buying the remake rights of Ala Vaikunthapurramloo. If everything falls in place Sivakarthikeyan may reprise Allu Arjun’s character in the Tamil remake.
However, an official confirmation regarding the same is yet to be disclosed by the actor and the makers.
Ala Vaikunthapurramloo had Pooja Hegde as the film’s leading lady along with Tabu, Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar and others in key roles.
The original was helmed by Trivikram Srinivas.
Talking about Sivakarthikeyan, the Tamil actor who was last seen on the big screen in superhero venture Hero, has two big releases in his kitty in the form of action drama Doctor and science fiction fantasy film Ayalaan.
About Doctor, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer went on floors in December, and it is being helmed by filmmaker Nelson. The film has Telugu actress Priyanka Arul Mohan of Gang Leader fame.

Ayalaan is being helmed by R.Ravikumar, and has actress Rakul Preet Singh in the lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan. The science-fiction fantasy venture also has Isha Koppikar, Sharad Kelkar and Yogi Babu along with others in key roles.
