Prabhas’ collaboration with Prashanth Neel in the form of Salaar was a massive success at the worldwide box office. The film, released on December 22, 2024, grossed a whopping 615.26 crores. Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire was an epic action film. The film also starred Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju. After the humungous of the KGF franchise, a lot of expectations were shouldered on Prashanth Neel and he knocked it out of the park.

Salaar distributors faced losses?

At the Indian box office, Salaar made gross collections of 480.26 crores. A report by Telegucinema.com claims the action flick did not cover its high costs for distributors in Andhra Pradesh. Mythri Movie Makers brought the rights for the Nizam area. While the company did earn profits, some individual distributors in the area incurred losses since they brought the rights at staggering prices.
