Atlee is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after directors in India right now. Last year, he delivered a 1000-crore blockbuster at the worldwide box office in the form of Jawan. If rumors are to be believed, he’ll be directing Allu Arjun’s upcoming film, which will be a grand spectacle. Atlee started his career as a director with Raja Rani, which was released in 2013. Till now, he has helmed five films, and all of them have been highly successful at the box office. His last film, Jawan, was an all-time blockbuster, and after that, he’s reportedly being offered some really big projects. Out of all, one confirmed film is said to be with Allu Arjun.
Even though an official confirmation is awaited, Allu Arjun will be doing an Atlee directorial right after he completes Pushpa 2. Reportedly, he was supposed to do a film with Sukumar after Pushpa 2, but since Guntur Kaaram turned out to be a disappointment at the box office, he opted to work with the Jawan director. Even the story is said to be locked.
Now, as per Track Tollywood’s report, Atlee has demanded a monstrous amount as his salary to direct the film, which is 60 crores. Yes, you read that right! It is said that he had charged 30 crores for Jawan, so if compared, it’s a hike of 100%. This is not it as apart from remuneration, he’ll also be taking a share in the film’s profit.
Currently, the filmmaker is occupied with the pre-production work of the Allu Arjun starrer, and the project’s official announcement is expected to happen on the Pushpa actor’s birthday (8th April).
Meanwhile, Atlee’s name was associated with a film starring Salman Khan. Eventually, it turned out to be just a rumor, and there was no truth to the news. Also, the director’s dream project featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Thalapathy Vijay seems to be shelved due to Vijay’s decision to enter full-time politics.
