Zee TV’s show Jamai Raja starring Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma & Achint Kaur remains as one of the most loved daily soaps of recent times. The show that aired from 2014 to 2017 had 701 episodes and has now been revived by the makers for web audience and they have titled it Jamai 2.0.
Even though makers have kept the star cast same, they have changed everything – from story line to treatment (well, they have tried) to suit the sensibilities of web audience. However, just adding sleaze and some so-called thrilling elements (which have no impact whatsoever) won’t work on the platform.

Jamai 2.0 is a story of Siddharth (Ravi Dubey) who wants to take revenge from (DD Patel) Achint Kaur, the owner of a chain of night clubs and mother of Roshni (Nia Sharma).

The story and narrative of the show has nothing exciting to offer for the audience. And the worst is that the show doesn’t deliver performance wise too. Till the first two episodes, Ravi and Nia don’t look on top of their form. They are good in a few scenes but in most others they are just ordinary or are simply made to overact. Achint Kaur is just fine.
But despite all the problems, the fans of Ravi, Nia and the TV audience may still find the show bearable, thanks to their impressive screen presence!
Personally, I’ve watched 2/10th of the show and I am in no mood to continue, because there’s a lot of great stuff in queue and this can be the last show in the world to watch.
