Defending Jacob Episode 4 Review: After 3 intriguing episodes, Apple TV+ released the fourth episode of this Chris Evans starrer murder mystery on May 1. Also starring Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell and Cherry Jones, the fourth episode is called Damage Control. If you are yet to watch the series, I request you to avoid reading the copy further as it contains spoilers.
The new episode of Defending Jacob starts with Jacob’s (Jaeden Martell) lawyer Joanna (Cherry Jones) asking him all the possible questions of what he was doing, his reaction to seeing Ben’s dead body and much more. During her question and answer session, Jacob’s parents Andy Barber (Chris Evans) and Laurie Barber (Michelle Dockery) are also present. The session doesn’t end up well as Jacob ends up getting frustrated in the end. While Andy thinks that it’s a normal reaction from a 14-year-old teenage boy, Laurie seems to have her own doubts due to Andy’s past.
While Andy is confident that Jacob isn’t guilty, Laurie trie to dig in more to find out the truth about her husband’s father and his criminal acts. While she doesn’t say it directly, we can sense the fear she has regarding the murder genes passing from Jacob’s grandfather to him. In the previous episodes, makes have been teasing us with some painful flashback’s Chris Evans’ character gets in Defending Jacob. We finally get to see what happens with him in the past.
